Tarnya + Duane were our fabulous Brighton engagement couple! We had loads of fun that day and the theme continued on their wedding day. Despite the rain, they smiled all day and were a pleasure to photograph. We ended our day at 11:30pm after a riotous silly booth (images to follow) with faces hurting from smiling so much.
A big thanks to Tarnya + Duane and all their guests for making us feel very welcome.
A few words from our bride + groom…
What is your most memorable moment of the day? I really remember walking up the seemingly never-ending red carpet, trying to contain my nerves and not cry (as directed by my husband as he knew that would make him cry). I did anyway…
Which is your favourite image and why? 295 because the photo is beautiful of course but it also jogs a lovely memory for me. It had rained and my dress was a bit wet and muddy but I didn’t care. I have my arm around my man and we are sharing a funny moment. That’s all that mattered!
What was your favourite purchase for your big day? My birdcage veil / fascinator. I love retro design and bows anyway so it was an easy choice over the traditional style of veil, which I knew wouldn’t suit me or my dress.
What was your first dance song? I Only Have Eyes For You by The Flamingos. We love 50′s music, the words are lovely and it was nice and slow – we can’t dance so was perfect to shuffle about to!
Where did you go on honeymoon? We had a ‘mini-moon’ break at Center Parcs, Longleat Forest. It’s near Longleat Safari Park and is great if you love wildlife and country air! We have a trip to Florida planned for next year giving time for us to save our pennies but the mini-moon did us the world of good!
What advice would you give to brides reading this who are planning their wedding? Stay organised. Keep a spreadsheet to detail everything you are buying or want to buy, including a guest list so you have it all in one place. I also suggest that you write down your suppliers details and keep in a book just in case you need to contact them quickly. Lastly, you can never do anything too in advance as it saves a lot of stress in the run-up. There are enough things you can’t do until the last minute to worry about!
